Protestors Arrested On Their Way to Eu Summit

SIX civil liberties protestors were arrested yesterday as they were making their way to lobby the North-East summit of EU home affairs ministers.

The anti-identity card movement NO2ID said two cars containing its campaigners were stopped by police as they headed to the Gosforth Park venue of the three-day EU justice and home affairs ministerial meeting, in Newcastle.
