A RESCUE operation has been carried out to help a group of swans and cygnets who are frequently trapped in discarded fishing lines and hooks.
In an operation yesterday by Hartlepool Borough Council and the Environment Agency, fish which had been placed illegally in Warrior Park Pond at Seaton Carew, near Hartlepool, were removed and taken to another pond in town, so that the fishermen would stay away.See the full content of this document
