John (1768-1833): Moved to Stockton in 1783 and became mayor. Died at Seaton Carew, was buried at Sockburn but a headstone in Elton church - between Darlington and Stockton - suggests his remains have been reinterred there. His son, George, lived in Elton Hall Henry (1769-1839): Went to sea and retired to the Isle of Man Mary (1770-1859):
