FORMER double British Universities 10,000m track champion Alyson Dixon hopes to celebrate her first England international vest by leading Chester-le-Street to a medal-winning performance in today's National Six Stage Road Relay Championships at Sutton Coldfield.
The 29-year-old Wearsider has been selected to represent England in the prestigious Marseilles 10K next Thursday - the reward for clocking one of the fastest times as Chester-le-Street won the Northern Six Stage title at Catterick Garrison earlier this month, Dixon's delight makes up for the disappointment of having to drop out of last month's Inter Counties Championships, losing the chance of winning a place in the Great Britain World Cross Country Championships team.See the full content of this document
