A BOOK celebrating the history of the North-East's Roman Catholic seminary has been published to mark its bicentenary.

St Cuthbert's College, Ushaw, better known as Ushaw College, was built in the countryside near Durham City after being originally opened at Douai, in France, in 1568, to train English clergy.
